KUB SUMBER REJEKI
Founded in 2016 by 4 young farmers, KUB Sumber Rejeki focused on coconut sugar despite the fact that their farms are traditional javanese agroforestry that is called “kebon”. There are over 100 species grown under the coconut trees that include cacao, coffee, cloves, cardamom, cubeb, ginger, turmeric, mangosteen, durian, vanilla and many more. They also plant their carbohydrate staples such as yam, caladium, cassava, and sweet potatoes.
In order to maintain the surrounding forest and to maximize nature’s economic potential, they decided to produce and sell artisan homemade products, one of which is coconut sugar.
In 2018, KUB Sumber Rejeki got their first international organic certification for EU and COR. With the increasing demand by year, KUB Sumber Rejeki is now working with 1,518 families covering 225 hectares of traditional javanese agroforestry.
With most of their foods grown within walking distance from their home food forest that have been passed down through generations, the community takes high pride in the quality foods they inherited and proudly share them to the world.
